Through one-on-one coaching, you’ll receive tailored training plans that suit your specific goals, fitness level, and schedule. Communication happens via phone calls, email, or app messaging, ensuring you have regular check-ins, feedback, and support throughout your journey. Whether you're working toward a race or just improving your overall fitness, virtual coaching includes customized workouts, guidance on form, intra-run nutrition advice, injury prevention, and ongoing adjustments to your plan based on your progress. It’s an ideal solution for athletes looking for expert coaching with flexibility and convenience.

Our monthly plan offers flexibility, allowing you to enjoy coaching without a long-term commitment. It’s perfect for those just starting their running journey or anyone who wants to test the waters before committing to an extended coaching plan. In addition, this plan provides the freedom to adjust as your needs evolve.

5-Month Commitment - Paid Up Front
$135/month equivalent ($675)
Commit to a 5-month plan and save $15 per month as a thank-you for your longer-term dedication. The 5-month plan aligns well with most marathon training plans (4-8 weeks of base building and 12-16 weeks of formal marathon training). This plan is perfect for athletes who are serious about their training and ready to work together to achieve big goals over time!
After 1 contract term has been completed, you are eligible to pay monthly at the current rate for the 5-month plan.

The 12-month plan offers the ultimate commitment for athletes looking for long-term growth and sustained progress. At $120 per month, this plan provides consistent, personalized coaching throughout the year to help you achieve and exceed your running goals. Perfect for those who are dedicated to continuous improvement both in-season and in the off-season and ready to make running a part of their lifestyle.

What is virtual run coaching?
Virtual run coaching offers personalized training through online platforms, allowing you to receive coaching support, training plans, and feedback without needing to meet in person. It’s convenient and flexible, tailored to your goals, and accessible wherever you run.
How does the coach see my workouts?
We use the Final Surge app as our platform to track, analyze, and adjust your training. It syncs seamlessly with your GPS watch or fitness tracker to automatically upload your run data. From there, your coach can review key metrics like pace, distance, heart rate, elevation, and more to assess your progress. Your coach will use this data to fine-tune your training plan, provide feedback, and ensure you're on the right track to reach your goals. Final Surge also allows for easy communication, feedback, and updates to your plan, all in one place. The Final Surge app works with most popular GPS watches and fitness trackers, such as Garmin, Coros, Suunto, and Fitbit, to name a few. As long as your device can sync data to Final Surge, we can track your runs and monitor your progress.
How often will I communicate with my coach?
We prioritize open, accessible communication. Time sensitive questions during the week are addressed via text, Final Surge, or email. Active athletes in one-on-one run coaching or personal training receive a weekly pre-recorded video call reviewing their training, providing feedback, and answering general, non-urgent questions. For more in-depth conversations, athletes can schedule check-in calls for specific training topics, race strategy, or a monthly call to discuss overall progress.
What if I have a busy schedule?
No problem! Virtual coaching offers flexibility. We’ll work with your schedule to create a plan that fits into your life, making adjustments as necessary to accommodate work, family, or travel commitments.
How are training plans adjusted over time?
Your training plan will evolve based on your progress and feedback. If something isn’t working, or if you hit a milestone, your coach will make adjustments to keep you on track and progressing toward your goals.
What happens if I get injured, have a health problem arise, or become pregnant?
While a goal of training is to remain healthy, sometimes despite our best attempts injuries happen or other life-related health issues arise and time away from running is needed. We will continue to coach you through your injury assuming cross-training is permitted by your doctor so that your return to running is smoother. For cases where exercise is not safe per the doctor, we will work with you on a plan to establish a return date if pausing your plan is necessary.
We recognize that running is just one part of your life, and we’re here to support you through all of it. Unlike many programs, we offer flexibility for life’s big moments, including adjustments to payment plans.

What makes your coaching program different from others?
Our coaching focuses on a holistic approach to running, considering your personal life, goals, and any challenges that come your way. We prioritize open communication, personalized plans, and the flexibility to adjust based on your evolving needs. We also include pre-run warm-ups, detailed running workouts with pace/effort prescriptions, post-run stretching, and basic strength training in the cost of a one-on-one run coaching plan*.
How do I get started with coaching?
To begin, simply fill out our intake form and we will reach out to you to schedule a consultation call. We'll discuss your running history, goals, and any specific needs to start creating your customized training plan. After your call, you’ll receive an email with a link to sign up for your payment plan, complete a waiver, and sign up for the Final Surge coaching app. Once completed, we’ll begin building out your coaching plan!
*More advanced progressive overload strength training is available for a separate fee as well as personal training services that include weight suggestions specific to your training.
